The Role of Facility Management

Facility management is the profession devoted to the maintenance of commercial and institutional buildings, including college and university campuses, large commercial buildings, hotels and resorts, public schools, sports arenas, military bases and convention centers.

Facility management maintains all the systems of a building or group of buildings: HVAC, electrical, roofs, flooring, waterproofing, furniture, fenestration, security, some underground utility distribution systems, plumbing, lighting systems, cleaning and landscaping.

Computer aided facility management (CAFM) software is often used by facility managers to schedule and verify proper maintenance and repair. tmgmytilicaf
